Located at Urban Outfitters' headquarters in the Philadelphia Navy Yard, this innovative design of the 600kW fuel cell array manufactured by Bloom Energy Systems of California runs off natural gas. According to the project’s developers, the estimated cost savings exceed $400,000 annually and dramatically reduces the typical carbon footprint of generating electricity.

Partial funding for the project came from a $1.3 million state grant awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority Alternative and Clean Energy Program in 2011. The Navy Yard installation serves as a model for future corporate construction of distributive energy generation systems.
