A craft café with an Italian accent, Dué (say: doo-eh) blends casual dining and quick takeaway selections with the warmth of an Italian grandma’s kitchen. Would you believe it was originally a gas station? NewStudio played up the building’s 1960s lines by removing the solid stud framed walls of a previous addition and replacing them with 12-foot-high window-walls that now highlight the dramatic cantilevered roofline. The 1700 sf space includes flexible seating for 30-40 inside, a full-service bar, and an East Coast deli-style market. NewStudio also planned for local walk-up customer traffic, which proved fortuitous during the COVID-19 restrictions and allowed Dué to safely provide take-away service.
