Samantha Christner | BIM Specialist
Samantha excels when she must quickly adapt to changing situations, which the pandemic proved to her when she was about to complete her final year in college. “Suddenly, we switched to online learning—so new to all of us then. I figured out a way to showcase my work and it helped earn a top finalist prize during a competition with my graduating class, a competition I’ve competed in twice,” she says.
Samantha’s also a congenial collaborator, ready to use her BIM skills to back the NewStudio team. “Some of my friends might say I’m a wallflower. I’m not really. I’m just a quiet overthinker,” she says with a laugh. “I like to make people smile, too.”
The first in her immediate family to earn a college degree (she actually earned two degrees), Samantha stays close with her family. “During the summer months, I’m camping with them about every two weeks,” she says. When she settled into her workspace at NewStudio, she brought a little reminder of thrifting with her younger sister. “I found an A4 Orange NoteBook Modular by Allocacoc. It brightens up my desk!”
If I Was Stranded On An Island, The One Thing I’d Take With Me: A water purifier. If I have clean water, I’ll hopefully survive long enough to find food and shelter.
Where I’d Like To Visit Next: Barcelona, Spain
Someday, I Will… own my own home!
Quick NewStudio Story: I went to college with Devyn Smoter, so after a coffee interview for NewStudio, I asked her about the typical dress code here. She said not to worry too much—most likely Adam Jarvi would be in shorts and sandals. Sure enough, the day I came to the office, Adam was in cargo shorts and sandals.
