Wade Ziperstein | Designer

“From a young age, I knew I wanted to be an architect,” Wade says. He started with LEGO bricks, meticulously snapping them into place until his design was brought to life. “I still love seeing the huge displays at the Mall of America.”

Growing up in the Chicago area gave Wade an opportunity to see a wide breadth of architectural styles. He gained an appreciation for structural designs, interior details, and the utilization of innovative materials that he applies to his projects today. “I’m interested in both sides—I have a good sense of aesthetic and functional design,” he adds. “I’m interested in how people use a space and how good design impacts peoples’ lives. I want to explore how I can make designs for them in a way that is truly their own.”

In addition to experience designing new corporate and high-end residential projects, Wade brings a strong background in historic restoration and a keen interest in antiques. Wade believes that history informs the present. “I like the hunt for collectable items and learning their history,” he adds, noting the 300-plus lunch boxes in his collection among other treasures he’s found.

Wade’s varied interests and professional versatility complements the range of projects at NewStudio. “I like variety. NewStudio offers a great opportunity in both residential and commercial work,” Wade says.
